Jakobi is a proud Djap Wurrung and Gunditjmara man and has been a Guide and Educator at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria since 2018. His work includes the creation and facilitation of tourism and education programs, as well as various projects within and outside the Botanic Gardens. Jakobi has an environmental, social justice background, and experience within the climate justice movement. He is passionate about the inclusion of themes and content within his programs which surround climate change, conservation, and the impacts of colonisation on the environment and First People’s culture. Jakobi believes any solutions for future environmental and social progress towards justice for all, is grounded within First People’s knowledge and leadership.
