Since the last update on the Sustainable Events Planner in the 2009 SLF Annual Report, the Sustainable Events Team is glad to report that further significant progress has been made. This progress includes the uploading of the Evaluation and Guide sections of the tool which allows event planners to now make full use of the Planner.

The Events Planner has been selected as a finalist for the up and coming Banksia Awards. Nominated in the Environmental services category. The awards will be held on the 24 July.

The Sustainable Events Collective also continues to grow with two additional members to the Collective and is now in a position to begin regular presentations of the Planner to the many interested organisations and local councils inquiring about the tool. The team looks forward to a very exciting period coming up, particularly focusing on spreading the word to the events community about the existence of the Planner and beginning to see the impact of the Sustainable Events Planner at events all around the community!
