On the 15th and 16th of August the SLF bike valet service was set up to encourage cycling to the MCG for the AFL’s ‘Green Round’.
This was the first time a specialised bike parking service had been set up and offered at an ALF football match. The cyclists on the day were really impressed with the service. Along for the ride was a bike mechanic, which offered a fantastic on the spot service.
In future a better location would be necessary to make the service more user friendly. Let's hope the bike valet service catches on with footy fans!"
