In December this year world leaders will decide the global response to climate change at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. This week tens of thousands of young Australians will cast their votes on the world they want to inherit in Youth Decide 09, Australia's first youth vote on climate change. Youth Decide aims to reframe the climate change debate as an issue of equity for the youth of the world.
The event aims to encourage all young people (under 30) to decide the future of the world online at www.youthdecide.com.au between September14 and 21.
Head down to the FREE Youth Decide Concert at Federation Square on Wednesday 16 Sept from 5pm with The Cat Empire, Kisschasy, Mat McHugh from the Beautiful Girls, Jimeoin and special guests.
Youth Decide is an initiative of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition and World Vision Australia. After the voting week, the results will be presented at Climate Week in New York, and with a delegation of 20 young people to the UN Climate Change negotiations in
Copenhagen.
