As part of the welcoming moves for the new office space, we staged a fantastic evening of discussion around the concepts of future energy and living sources for the City of Melbourne. We hosted a lively group of SLF supporters to listen to representatives Damien Crough (architects Fender Katsilidis)and Tuan Ngo (Melbourne University) for the Little Hero, a CBD housing project utilising efficient construction processes. In addition we heard from our own Iain Walker about community living as a relevant option within Melbourne metro as well as within the CBD, and finally the renewable energy options that are so critical to THE future was presented by Patrick Hearps of BZE; a fully renewable source of energy that’s already present and possible, we need to get the word out that the work’s been done. So thank you to those who presented, and to those who catered so well: Rosalie, Heidi, Carolyn, Robyn, Giselle and more.
