This work was made as a direct response to the theme of the exhibition, entirely from found and recycled materials. A sport is a game with both winners and losers. To achieve sustainability is a deadly game that must be won, there is no option for graceful losers in this game. The work represents the battle between adversary social and ecological forces. Which move will you make?
Liz Walker
Liz Walker is currently completing the MFA at RMIT. Her practice involves using found and recycled materials, often in conjunction with text. Through her strong engagement with current events and concerns Liz Walkers work has become increasingly political. 2006 'Area Contemporary Artspace Price', 2007 'Barnes Prize' CSA Bonanza exhibition.
