Description

Australians are the most urbanised and coastal dwelling people on the planet. Over 80% of us live in towns and cities on the coast. Hence, if we are to engage in sustainable living, we have to live sustainably in the coastal zone which includes our near-shore marine environments. Geoff will explore what this means for Victorians; and make connections between global issues relating to sustainable development (for example, climate change, sea level rise) and the local issues facing all Victorians. The timing for Geoff's talk is perfect as many Victorians will be returning from their summer holidays on the coast.
