Is it the oil industry, the automobile industry, the government or maybe even the consumer?

With global warming, pollution and peak oil to deal with find out what Australia is doing to help solve the problem. Also on display will be the Aryana electric car and the Vectrix electric motorbike.

Australia needs electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are the most environmentally friendly way of providing energy to enable transport. Electric powered transport provides zero emissions at the tailpipe and has the capability to use renewable energy resources to provide a low emission transport system. Public transport already utilises this method in Melbourne with electric trams and trains, yet when it comes to personal transport in the form of cars or motorbikes currently not one production level vehicle can be bought in Australia. This fourm will be about who is tackling the situation, some of the difficulties they have overcome and more importantly what steps are necessary to make electric vehicles a reality.
