Liz Franzmann manages the Waste Wise events program with Sustainability Victoria. Waste Wise events provides advice and infrastructure to event organisers wanting to minimise waste and increase recycling. The next evolution for the program is to explore how Sustainability Victoria can support events seeking to reduce their impacts across energy, waste and water.
Liz has a background in community service and international development program management . She was drawn to the sustainability field in 2005, after a year of living and volunteering in Nepal. By working with the Victorian events sector, she hopes to begin answering the question "how do we publicly celebrate and entertain ourselves in a way that allows the next generation the opportunity to do the same?"
