Bastion Point is a unique surf break and tourist destination on the Wilderness Coast at Mallacoota, Vic. Developers would like to turn the town beach into an industrial boat launch zone for industry and a perceived game fishing market. This has pitted them against the town's families who use the beach for surfing, swimming, bird watching and rock play. An Environmental Effects Statement has been conducted by the local council, however it has been heavily compromised by undisclosed business interests of the lobbyists.
