Real Nappies in the Real World

Sat 17th | 11:30am - 12:00pm
Play Hub

hosted by | Women's Environmental Network Australia (WENA Victoria)
This will be a discussion between parents currently using real nappies and the audience in an informal atmosphere. Parents will be available who have used or who are still using fitted reusables, terry towelling squares and nappy laundry services. They are happy to chat, share and compare their experiences with people in attendance.

Rachel Carlisle
Rachel Carlisle first got the real nappy bug during her involvement in the Women's Environmental Network real nappy campaign in Scotland. She was involved with real nappy week, an annual event in the UK, trying to get the word out about real nappies through stalls in shopping malls, questionnaires in the maternity hospital ante-natal clinic, workshops and demonstrations at community events, etc. She is keen to give more focus to real nappies here in Melbourne.
