Mission Australia

Mission Australia is a non-denominational Christian organisation with a vision to spread the love of God and meet human need.

With more than 320 services across metropolitan, rural and regional Australia, in every state and territory, Mission Australia aims to empower disadvantaged and isolated individuals, families and communities by giving them the support they need to get back on track, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Our services are centred around:

* Family support initiatives for families and children in need;
* Youth initiatives for disadvantaged young people;
* Housing support initiatives for homeless people and those at risk of homelessness;
* Employment and training initiatives for the long-term unemployed; and
* Community building initiatives that help strengthen and empower entire communities.

Where people are in need, Mission Australia seeks to make a powerful, sustainable difference.

Our innovative community and employment programs inspire self-confidence and hope, and enable people to tap their own resources to pursue a positive and independent future.

For more than 140 years, Mission Australia’s vision has been helping the nation’s most disadvantaged individuals and communities out of crisis and into security.

Now, at a time when many Australians and their communities are facing a new set of social problems, Mission Australia is continually developing contemporary services to help people in need address these emerging issues.
