After numerous practices and after trying different choreographies, a group of secondary students are going to perform Latin American style Hip Hop and contemporary jazz. Dance4All
Simona has been involved in dancing since the age of five. At the age of nine she was selected to become a member of the very prestigious Ballet Company of the Massimo Theatre in South of Italy. Simona performed for many choreographers such as Ugo Dell’Ara from La Scala in Milan, Isabelle Duick from Opera Theatre in Paris and Angela Abbigliati Opera of Roma. After having spent time in Greece and Ireland, Simona studied and performed with ex New York City Ballet dancer Alan Foyle in Cork city for the Firkancrain Theatre. It was only after she went to South America to Buenos Aires that Simona discovered the tango. Travelling around Brazil gave Simona the opportunity to experience other rhythms of Latin music. When Simona eventually moved to Australia, former Australian Ballet dancer Brian Nolan approached her for summer stages in Albert Park for the International Australian Coaching School. Simona was also approached by Terry Perrera (Salsa De La Luna – New Zealand) to teach Latin dancing at The Spanish Club in Melbourne, and start performing again. It wasn’t until she met her current dancing partner Emilio Ricciuti that she officially started to perform again. With Emilio, they performed in festivals such as the Spanish Fiesta Festival in Melbourne, private functions and big productions.
