Friends of the Earth

Friends of the Earth is a federation of autonomous local groups who are working towards an environmentally sustainable and socially equitable future. With groups active in over 70 countries, we are the largest grassroots environmental network in the world. Through a combination of research, community outreach, direct action, lobbying and offering positive business alternatives, Friends of the Earth seeks to achieve the necessary social change which will allow for enviromental protection with full protection for the rights of all people. We campaign on climate justice, uranium mining and nuclear power, trade, nanotechnology, and forest issues, to name just a few.
