A 'Whishing Tree' constructed for the Sustainable Living Festival 2006 presented a chance for visitors to make a wish for the future. If only wishes were automatically granted! Many traditional customs suggest that wishes or fortunes are not immutable and that we are in control of our own future. Here now is an opportunity to revisit the many wishes made at the 2006 Festival, and for us to begin to take an active role - not only to make our own wishes come true - but also to think about how we can make the wishes of others a reality. It is time for each of us to make a pledge and commit to a significant personal action, that will help make the world a better place.
