In this day and age, travelling overseas and really experiencing other cultures is increasingly important, not just because it's fun (and let's face it, travelling is one of the all time most entertaining things you could do) but also as a tool to create better cross cultural understanding, awareness of the issues that face the world and our roles as global citizens. But travelling brings its own set of problems and we must face facts that as we explore, we are most likely damaging the very places we set out to discover. The Travelling Sustainably Forum discusses the unique set of cultural and environmental challenges that face travellers and the travel industry as we set out to explore the world responsibly and sustainably.
