Marco, Sue & Tula like to do it in the bathroom

They...
- use chemical free body care and cleaning products
- use recycled toilet paper
- take shorter showers saving water and energy
- use replaceable head toothbrushes
- flush the toilet with a bucket from the shower

Fit a water saving shower head and halve water consumption. You won't even notice the difference in water pressure.

"I really try and buy local foods to limit the large amount of energy miles that many imported food products require. Oh! and I like to buy organic too.

"I take the bus to work in the morning and the train home at night. With the cost of petrol at an all time high I save as much as fifty dollars per week that I can put towards the cost of building my energy effifficent house. But the best result I have had has been the number of new friends that I look forward to seeing. In the afternoon I can have a twenty minute power nap on the train and wake up refreshed to take on the job of motherhood.

"we grow our own veges, use public transport, buy clothes from op shops, recycle our water, buy green power, subscribe to greenflett for our car usage, educate our kids about sustainability, recycle, try not to buy packaged foods, buy organic foods, borrow books from the library & raise chickens but there is heaps we don't do that I hope we will do soon such as install solar power and rainwater tanks.
