Marco, Sue & Tula like to do it in the bathroom

They...
- use chemical free body care and cleaning products
- use recycled toilet paper
- take shorter showers saving water and energy
- use replaceable head toothbrushes
- flush the toilet with a bucket from the shower

Fit a water saving shower head and halve water consumption. You won't even notice the difference in water pressure.

"Have spent the past two years,as an owner builder with great assistance from my wife, building a totally sustainable home. We have used materials with low embodied energy, a sensible design which requires no cooling and little heating, solar voltaic with wind turbine supplement, solar hot water, roof collected rain water, grey and black water treatment for re-use. The next challenge is to find energy efficient appliances etc. What a pity power consumptin figures are missing from so much product literatire.

"I am working hard at doing it - recycling food scraps and packaging, saving and collecting water, buying green power, growing organic food and lessening my energy use. I have also set up a blog to record this journey and other people’s as well. Check it out at www.greenfoot.com.au
