ensuring it's harmless
- All promotional Posters, flyers, the Mini-Mag and other printed material have been produced through our print provider (Print Bound). They use the following methods:
• Waterless printing with vegetable dye inks
• Low energy printing process
• Selected forest friendly paper stocks
• Local designers and printers
- The savings below were achieved where Post Consumer recycled fibre has been used in place of virgin fibre to produce the Festival mini-mag.
Using 600 kg of paper which is 100% recycled, means:
• 12.7 trees preserved for the future
• 16.63 kg waterborne waste not created
• 20,422 litre wastewater flow saved
• 271 kg solid waste not generated
• 533 kg net greenhouse gases prevented
This poster was produced using the above methods.
- We have also asked our exhibitors and participants to use a communal printing service, which has been established by the Festival team to encourage cost effective and environmentally sustainable printing practices.
- Print Together specialise in collective green print management, which takes into consideration the best use of paper, ink, printing plates, energy, water and other resources.
- Over 80% of travel to and from the Festival's production office and event site by our production team is made on train, tram or bicycle. This has a significant impact on greenhouse pollution.
For example a 10km round trip to and from work saves 650kg of greenhouse pollution each year. Plus the money you save on running a car or catching the train…
- We comply with State Occupational Health & Safety standards.
- We use environmentally safe cleaning products at the Festival and in the office.
