Education Day opens the Festival on Friday 20th February and is open to schools that have registered in advance. Upon registration, each school chooses their preferred program.

Frank Fitzgerald-Ryan
Frank Fitzgerald-Ryan, Principal and Founder of Vox Bandicoot Pty Ltd, is an internationally regarded practitioner in environmental education. Frank has worked in the field for over 30 years and his outstanding contribution has been recognised through being granted fellowship of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC and as a finalist in the 2003 United Nations Australian Environment Awards and the Eureka Award. Frank is also a current Watermark Australia Champion, Banksia Award and Victorian Environmental Education Prize winner. He has been published numerous times including Green Hits, Clockwork, (available free on this site), the Macmillan Environmental Encyclopaedia, The Environment Book (foreword by Peter Garret), etc, etc, - through to the Sustainability Street Manual - which is, in effect, a neat summary of the amazing Vox Bandicoot pedagogy, as it has developed over the last twenty years or so.
