NB: Will now be held on the 14th of March due to bushfires.
As a practical part of the special intentional community programme of the Sustainable Living Festival, Moora Moora members are opening their heart and hearth to share their experiences of living in community. The focus of this programme is to explore the advantages, challenges and joys of being a member of a community working to live in harmony with the land and with each other.
Together we will explore questions such as: How do we live with renewable energy; what are its constraints and pleasures? What does it mean to one’s sense of home to build it yourself with the help of your friends? What is a sustainable balance between living in a community and maintaining ones identity and privacy? What role does community participation play in personal development? How does where you live nurture and challenge? What methods can you use for reflection, regeneration and conflict management?
Program includes guided tours of Moora Moora, designing and building an Earth-Heart Home, Living in a Co-operative Community, and Earth-Heart Meditation.
