What is tempeh? In this presentation Sinta will enlighten you to the history of tempeh, how it is made, and how you can cook up delicious meals at home using tempeh. Watch as Sinta cooks up a storm of Tempeh Goreng ( fried tempeh), Tempeh stir fry with vegetables, and if time permits, Tempeh curry.
Sinta Santoso
Sinta Santoso, founder of Primasoy Tempeh based in Mulgrave since 2005. Sinta was born in Malang, East Java, Indonesia, and then went to Germany to study Food Chemistry. She arrived in Australia in 1982 and opened an Indonesian restaurant ‘Arjuna’ in High Street Prahran until 1986. Following the birth of her two children she went to pursue her career as Food Chemist in various laboratories and office jobs until 2004. She found that there is a lack of good quality tempeh in Australia and decided to run a tempeh manufacturing herself.
Primasoy was established in 2005 by Sinta and Sugeng Santoso and is located in Mulgrave, Victoria. Our primary aim is to produce fine organic tempeh, which is true to its origin in Indonesia. This means that Primasoy tempeh are made without addition of vinegar.
