Entertaining and amusing the 'P Fairy' will recite a poem about how we can save water and use pee to fertilise our gardens. (P is for permaculture and pee too!)
Alanna Moore
I am a permaculture promoter, teacher and writer, now spending half of each year in Ireland, where my Irish husband and I, Peter Cowman, will be promoting permaculture from next year on. I am the author of 'Backyard Poultry - Naturally', the best selling book on poultry in Oz, as well as a swag of other books on esoteric approaches to environmental care, eg. 'Stone Age Farming' and 'The Wisdom of Water'. I am well known for my 'chook' column that I have been writing for Earth Garden magazine over the last 10 years or so, as well as many other articles in the alternative press over the years. In my 2007 book 'The Wisdom of Water' I approach this critical subject from a positive permaculture perspective, for instance - in relation to the wastage of water due to flushing urine down the toilet, when urine can be used, perfectly safely, to fertilise one's garden. There is a chapter in the book about this. If you need to take a pee-k, I can email it to you.
