The presentation will provide an overview of sustainable/ green weddings and give three different perspectives on green weddings – a couple who tried to make their wedding sustainable, a not-for-profit venue with a sustainable vision and a celebrant’s perspective.

Fay Loveland & Sean Walsh Fay is a professional environmental educator currently on maternity leave from the Metropolitan Waste Management Group. Sean is an environmental scientist with EPA Victoria. Fay and Sean will talk about their innovative green wedding. Caroline Higgins is a civil celebrant Marita Finch from the Abbotsford Convent
Provincial Events The Abbotsford Convent Foundation has appointed Provincial Events as the dedicated event managers for Weddings and Functions held in the Rosina Function Space and Heritage Gardens. The venue offers sustainable event options, including opportunities for slow food or organic menus, and the profits from events contribute to the continual refurbishment of the convent buildings. Caroline Higgins Caroline has been a celebrant, with a keen interest in sustainability. She has acted as a celebrant for many couples who have incorporated sustainability into their ceremonies. Fay Loveland Fay is an environmental educator currently on maternity leave from the Melbourne Metropolitan Waste Management Group, and will talk about her experience of her own green wedding.
