Brolga Boys are an Indigenous band founded in 1996 by original members Russell Smith (Pitjantjatjarra) and Ben James (Yorta Yorta). They have become a very well known band through all their performances around Melbourne along with tours and festivals both in Australia and overseas. Brolga Boys are entering an exciting stage in their long and well established career. Most recently they performed at the Falls Festival and late last year Russell performed at WOMEX International Cultural/Music Festival in Spain along with other Indigenous performers. Their performances are well worth seeing as their music, once heard, is easily identified as the unique sound that is Brolga Boys.
