A brief introduction to Aikido and its basic movements and principals. Aikido is known as the art of peace, it does not seek to attack the opponent, rather tries to deflect attack and create unity. By blending with the motion of the attacker and redirecting the force of the attack rather than opposing it head-on, Aikido requires very little physical energy. Due to this speical property Aikido is a popular martial art form amongst female learners.
