During a laughter session in a group you learn to laugh without a reason to gain the positive effects on your body and mind. You start with deep breathing and the Ho-Ho Ha-Ha-Ha clapping activity, followed by a variety of simulated laughter such as the hearty laugh, silent laugh, one metre laugh, the lion laugh, and the telephone laugh, which when shared with a smile and lots of eye contact, stimulates you to the real thing. You gain the techniques for thought free laughter based on yoga where anyone can learn to laugh for 15-20 minutes a day without resorting to jokes

Phillipa Challis

Phillipa Challis is the Founder and Co-ordinator of Laughter Clubs Victoria Inc, and together with other community laughter club leaders they present laughter sessions based on yoga techniques for thought-free group laughter for people who want to practise an easy economical way to enjoy many positive health benefits, are stressed out and want to add more laughter to their life; and demonstrates stimulated laughter techniques to enable you to function with high energy. Certified and trained laughter leaders can be booked to speak at meetings and events, and present to community organisations with the aim of promoting health, happiness and harmonious relationships through laughter
