Stone Gye

Stone is passionate about helping others change their quality of life through fitness. In 1997, Stone fell from an aircraft. The fall left him a paraplegic. Physicians determined he would never walk again and he was confined to a wheel chair. One morning a year later, his toes started to move and he was walking without assistance 2 weeks later. His doctors were dumbfounded as there was no available physiological scientific rationale for this outcome. From that time, Stone has not ceased to share with everyone their innate ability to overcome any obstacle. Stone first came to Australia in 2000 whilst working as a software engineer for a content management firm. Fitness has always been his passion. Straight away, he observed the acceptance and engagement in fitness activities by Australians compared with other countries. However, there are challenges in sustained application. Australia is has the 2nd highest incidence of obesity in the world.

In 2005, he relocated Stone Fitness, a holistic fitness practice, to Melbourne. Melbourne was selected after exhaustive empirical research demonstrated it to have more sporting events, venues and fitness acceptance than any other city in Australia. Stone Fitness provides personal training expertise for World Gym Victoria, a global health and fitness gym franchise. Stone is also a gifted, motivational orator and has spoken for many organisations Australia wide about the benefits of fitness and how easily in can be incorporated into everyday life.
