Future Canvas Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit organisation. We are a global web of projects and ideas which spark people to live sustainably everyday. Future Canvas seeks to promote environmental sustainability and social connectedness through supporting, developing, and implementing a diverse range of creative, innovative and exciting projects. Put simply, sustainability is concerned with meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. It is clear that we have now passed the point where simply buying an energy friendly light bulb or recycling an aluminium can will have a meaningful effect. Deep change is needed. How do we spark this deep change? Through artful and innovative community action. Life actions such as working, dwelling, cooking and engaging with one another are brushstrokes on a Canvas. The Art of the Everyday. In this spirit, FC aims to spark inspired, collective brushstrokes which invent ways of living sustainably through everyday choice and action. This accessible, social innovation in turn flows through to sustainable technological and production innovation.
