In this fun outdoor painting event, festival visitor will paint their personal vision of the kind of future they hope for. Timed to coincide with Education Day it will particularly seek out the ideas, dreams and visions of children; however, anyone can pick up a brush and is encouraged to do so.
This event becomes part of a larger post festival objective by the artist – the assemblage of painted patches into a ‘Positive Future Visions’ quilt.

Michael Chew
Michael Chew holds degrees in Fine Art, Physics, and Humanities. Public space and its distinctive sociology, endlessly fascinating, provide the texture for his practice. His working materials are the thoughts and attitudes of strangers. A recurring theme in his work is the strained, complex, and ambiguous relationship of individuals to the natural world
