URBAN QUEST
Urban Quest has become one of Melbourne's most unique and popular talent competitions in the South Eastern suburbs. The talent competition - hosted by Mission Australia with the support of Dandenong Plaza and local community, highlights the amazing talent of young people aged 12 – 25 years.
Urban Quest is a community celebration that draws thousands of people to the Dandenong area. The competition first began as a way to break down barriers between Dandenong’s youth and the wider public. Over the last 7 years it has increased positive images of young people and provided young people the opportunity to creatively express their experiences.
Contemporary artist & Lead Vocalist Maddy Mac Featuring Emcee/Rapper/Producer-James Hollands and Shazet – Beat-boxing Champion & Winner of the 2008 Urban Quest of the Street Category.
Ethnic diversity represented by multicultural group The Sudo Boiz from the Sudanese community. Four young teenagers from the suburbs of Noble Park /Springvale/Werribee who have just recently recoded their first Original Song with James Hollands of kingdom Wise Records.
