Cinema She create music with a view to inspire introspection, movement-and hopefully, an emotional response. Exploring different themes and styles, they try to express aspects of living that everyone can relate to. Whether it is about our idiosyncrasies, environment or aspirations - Cinema She like the idea that while people inhabit their own personal worlds, we're all still tied together. Cinema She are a local six-price indie/jazz band with a unique line-up featuring vibraphone, trombone, double bass, guitar and drums, fronted by bluesy scat and soul vocals. Songs by Cinema She explore lyric, melody, mood and improvisation- with a sense of humour. Winners of the PBSFM Festival of Song 2006, they have appeared at Queenscliff Music Festival, Falls Festival, Federation Square, Melbourne Women's International Jazz Festival, The Corner Hotel, Manchester Lane and heaps of other venues around Melbourne.
