Policy Ping Pong

Sat 16th February 08 | 11:00am - 12:00pm
Think tent

hosted by | Earthsharing Australia

This presentation aims to give an insight into the policy implications of climate friendly policy from a consumer, business and government perspective.

Future sustainability policies will be presented to the panel for analysis from 3 unique perspectives:

(a) product lifecycle (Scott Grierson using 'The Natural Step' framework)

(b) business (Donna Lorenz using a risk matrix to investigate strategic opportunities/threats for the commercial sector)

(c) economics (Karl Fitzgerald using Geonomics to simultaneously assess how policies will affect social justice and sustainability objectives)

The crowd can keep an eye on which policy mix gives us a sporting chance of sustainability. Findings from the discussions will reflect the full depth of consideration required when approaching new policy options.
