What are Biofuels; Biodiesel, Ethanol, Electric, LPG, CPG and how they impact the car, the economy, the environment and are they sustainable and viable?
In this presentation 2nd generation biofuels will be discussed, with a working Algae demonstration reactor demonstration. Daniel Epstein from Conservo will talk about what he sees the Transport fuel direction is in Australia.
Daniel is the founder and director of Conservo, Melbourne’s first exclusively biofuel service station, and Sustainiversity, a consultancy specializing in sustainability training.
From an early age, Daniel was fascinated by the natural world. He felt an order in the natural world, and was offended even then by any interference with that order, such as rubbish on the beach, concrete lined creeks and wanton destruction.
Daniel has always felt activism needs to occur in the boardrooms, in our schools, small businesses, homes as well as the streets, in the forests and the oceans. While living in America, Daniel realised his future lay in helping business and the community to develop simple, cost effective solutions to their sustainability problems. With that in mind, he completed a law degree and became very involved with renewable fuel technologies.
Today, Daniel is attempting to green the worlds largest multinationals with Conservo; his biofuels service station. In collaboration with BioMax, a leading biodiesel producer, Conservo combines sustainable biofuels, with healthy snacks and sustainable products and services. Conservo is a corporate statement offering sustainable transport fuel options to the public. A David and Goliath mission, Daniel hopes Conservo will demonstrate the viability of offering sustainably produced biofuels to Australian drivers.
