Materials

Reclaimed materials in their simplest form refer to reusing or recycling items for the same purpose or turning them into something new. They can often be procured at cheaper rates than buying new, or in some cases for free. When preparing for your event resources and how they are allocated are a major consideration. Looking at ways to minimise cost is something which could include the use of reclaimed materials.

Items which are often reclaimed include timber, other building materials, rubber, foam, rope, cord, elastic, sandpaper, cardboard, wooden blocks, plastic tubing and hoses. Often, local city councils will have details of transfer stations where items may also be available.

Consider giving the events' unwanted materials away to other groups or organizations for reuse.
