Presenter bio: Felicity Thomas has worked in a variety of roles
during her career, ranging from Community Relations Officer with Trees
For Life to Internal Communications Coordinator for car manufacturer,
Holden. She worked in Sydney as the Community Relations Officer for
the Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust and Sydney Metropolitan
Catchment Management Authority. She developed her interest in waste
management in other roles as Environmental Sustainability Officer and
Waste Education Officer at Holroyd City Council. Felicity has rapidly
developed the Waste Wise Events program over the past 15 months at
MWMG, fostering networks with event and waste education coordinators as
well as certifying over 100 events in the metropolitan region per
events season on behalf of Sustainability Victoria.
Host Organisation:The MWMG is a State Government Agency responsible for municipal solid
waste management and planning in Melbourne. Promoting a hierarchy of
reuse, then recycling and finally best practice management for the
residual waste stream.
