During this workshop lead by Marina Bistrin, participants have the chance to learn how to compost garden waste and utilise it to fertilise and hydrate their gardens.
Weeds are nutrient-dense and many can be easily cold composted without regrowing. Many households cannot easily amass enough material to create a hot compost. Instead, they can build up a slow compost with small amounts of food and garden waste, using additions saved from landfill, such as coffee husks and grounds.
You are welcome to bring your own best and worst weeds to discuss how to process them and join in the discussion
