In this workshop participants will learn how to make simple repairs and alterations to garments.

Techniques will include: taking up, letting down and fixing hems on pants and skirts; taking in/out side seams or waistbands; closing or patching rips and holes and sewing on buttons so they stay on.

Come to the workshop with 2 – 3 garments that need sprucing up and your own sewing kit — if you have one. Sewing machines and other equipment provided. All the funds raised will be donated to the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre.
