Buying the right thing seems to be getting more complicated every day. This session will empower participants to find their way through the complexity of choosing what to buy. By learning about key green purchasing principles participants will be able to work out their own ethical framework. Once you have a framework you won’t have to juggle as many issues each time you buy something. The presenter will also discuss how to see through false marketing claims and explore which claims and certifications are credible.
About the Presenter
Tania Struzina has worked for the ECO-Buy Victorian Local Government Program and on Sustainable Office programs at RMIT University. She is passionate about reducing her environmental footprint and social impact and supporting social enterprises making a difference. She has a Masters in Environment and Planning.
