A talk on the relationship of wine, society, markets, and nature and how they can co-exist sustainably whilst providing good quality wine for people to live rich lives with.

Award-winning winemaker Mark Foletta talks about his sustainable wine-making practices and how grapevines fit into the natural environment.

This event aims to educate people on how sustainable land management and good wine-making go hand in hand.


Mark Foletta, a wine tasting lecturer at the University of Melbourne, owns and operates Saffron Gramophone and has been producing Malbec for several years.

Saffron Gramophone was recently awarded the best wine of the Glenrowan region and also the best alternative red for the whole of the North-East with Malbec at the North-East Victoria Wine Challenge.

Mark is an innovative and forward-thinking craftsman who is passionate about a sustainable future.
