Great Forest National Park presents
Breakthrough for our Forest
Creating The Great Forest National Park before it's too late
Victoria’s Montane Ash forests play host to the tallest flowering plants on earth. They are the most carbon dense and house some of Australia’s rarest animals. The catchments and rivers supply Melbourne all of its water. It is for these reasons we call them ‘great’. Laureate Professor David Lindenmayer, AO, has worked in these forests for three decades and warns that we risk losing this rich asset if we don’t act to save it.
