After a season at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria’s Melbourne Gardens, experience Public Cooling House in the full summer sun at Cranbourne Gardens.

Inspired by conversations with scientists and artists about our water future, the Public Cooling House design draws from simple and ancient evaporative cooling techniques. Step inside and beat the heat; a cooling house attendant awaits to guide you through a special cooling experience.

Public Cooling House speaker series, Cranbourne Gardens

Sunday 24 February

12.30pm & 2pm: John Arnott

Title: Conservation through Cultivation

Australia’s most threatened and precious native plants need our help if they are to survive current and future environmental challenges. Join Cranbourne Gardens’ Manager of Horticulture, John Arnott, to hear about the work Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria does beyond the garden gate supporting our fellow botanic gardens and gardening community to Care for the Rare. Following the talk, John will take the audience through the Gondwana and Forest Gardens to share some of his favourite examples of cultivation success stories in the Australian Garden.
