Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society presents

Post Paris Forum

Event Navigation

This forum provides an opportunity for some plain speaking post Paris. Do the Paris climate agreements represent an unprecedented international effort to prevent rapid climate change?

In this event the likely impacts of these agreements and the opportunities they provide for Australian society will be discussed by a panel of experts with wide ranging expertise in climate science, policy, energy, finance and the law. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Ross Garnaut AO.

What are the key issues that must be addressed to tackle climate change? What is being done now? Speakers will talk about the outcomes from Paris, how the reality of climate change has started to change the conversations and decisions in boardrooms and the prospects for change.

Organised by the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society. Sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation League of Victoria.
