Online marketplaces such as Facebook have become a popular medium for buying and selling in the local community.
This session will show participants how to search for items, contact sellers, list an item to sell, and also how to keep personal information and accounts secure.
This event aims to inspire the community to rehome their unwanted items rather than throwing them away and educate the community about using technology to buy and sell online to encourage a circular economy.
Since 2010, Stay In Touch has been simplifying technology and delivering practical guidance and technology support. They help users to upskill, manage, and stay in control of their home and office, children’s devices, phones, and internet plans. They have worked with government cybersecurity bodies, Victoria Police Neighbourhood Watch, and partnered with BeConnected to help seniors with technology. Stay in Touch will visit clients at home to help you set up technology in your home, provide remote support for any technical issues, and deliver over 200 group training sessions to libraries throughout Australia.
