Solar in the Heart of Canada's Oil Sands
Melina Laboucan-Massimo is a member of the Lubicon Cree First Nation in Canada. Facing firsthand the impacts of the Alberta tar sands on her traditional territory, Melina has been a vocal advocate for Indigenous rights for a decade. For the past 9 years she’s worked against tar sands expansion as a Climate & Energy campaigner with Greenpeace in Alberta as well as with the Indigenous Environmental Network internationally.
Melina is a keynote presenter at the 2017 Community Energy Congress, 27–28 February. The Congress is the premier event on Australia’s community energy calendar.
