This event is for participants who have ever considered reducing their waste but felt overwhelmed and unsure about how and where to begin.

Over wine and pizza, John will share his story and some easy tips to get you started confidently.

This event aims to encourage as many people to get started in reducing their waste and be educated as to the benefits of this journey.

PRESENTER

John Rbeiz is an engineer and an entrepreneur. He is very passionate about all things people, planet, and business-related. In 2014, John moved from Lebanon to Australia to pursue a master’s degree in Engineering and Business. In 2017 John cofounded a Melbourne-based social enterprise (Humankind Enterprises), in 2020 John attempted to launch Boom Containers, winner of the people’s choice award at the City of Melbourne’s Open Innovation Competition.

John has been living low waste since 2018, fitting almost 3 years of his waste in a jar. Today John helps both at a business and community level and builds capacity within society and organisations to reduce waste.
