This event is a partnership between Moonee Valley Sustainability and Moonee Valley City Council.
Examine both honey and native bees and how both are important for biodiversity.
Starting with a talk on traditional honey beekeeping near Moreland Road and finishing with a talk showcasing the modern ‘Flow Hive’ at Marlins Warehouse Pascoe Vale Road, these honey beekeeping based talks will be linked with a stroll along Moonee Ponds Creek.
Whilst walking along the creek you will learn about native bees and other pollinators and the importance of indigenous plants in community spaces and our gardens to enhance local biodiversity.
The starting address will be supplied on registration.
