What is Forest Therapy?
Forest Therapy (also known as Shinrin Yoku and Forest Bathing) is an effective public health practice, with researched benefits including reduced stress, increased immune function, enhanced creativity and sleep, and improved mental health. Being in nature with a Certified Forest Therapy Guide FTG, provides a relaxing and refreshing experience, inviting space for quiet listening, reflection, and inquiry through all the senses. You will be guided to move slowly, pause, and sit, as nature unfolds around you. As a group, there is also the opportunity to connect and share your experiences with each other. The activities follow the standard set by the International Core Curriculum for Forest Therapy, as specified by the International Nature & Forest Therapy INFTA.
There are a limited number of ‘Pay What You Can’ tickets available.
Your guide, Leesa Nash, works in partnership with nature, sharing gentle physical, sensory and creative practices, which connect the wellness and well-being of our wild selves with our planet. Leesa brings her skills as a Nature Mentor, Creative Arts Therapist & Certified Forest Therapy Guide FTG to all experiences. She loves exploring our wild world slowly and creatively, prioritising accessible experiences, so everyone can enjoy wellness through nature connection.
