Join us for a practical introduction to urban gardening.
This season participants can learn how to start a garden from scratch – suitable for any space – including teeny tiny apartment living.
Suitable for beginners wanting to turn their brown thumbs green!
You will learn principles of horticulture and permaculture including how to grow from seeds, seedlings, and cuttings using different soil compositions, as well as composting, methods of irrigation, pest control, and seasonal planting.
During the recent lockdowns, many people learned how dependent they were on food chain supplies and, after spending many months at home, were reminded of the pleasure humans receive from the natural world and through a deeper connection with their local environments.
This course commences on 11 Feb and continues every Thursday until 1 April.
