Simple High LIfe presents

Edible Garden basics

Event Navigation

Have you thought about growing fruit, veggies and herbs at home? Your motive might be fresh food without chemical sprays, zero waste, or the joy and satisfaction of growing your own. Regardless of why, presenter Kirsty Bishop-Fox will go through the how of food gardening basics.

Whether you have space for a single pot or a whole orchard, the principles to get started are the same.

  • Growing veggies from food scraps and other cost free ways to get started
  • Compost know how – how to start it, what to do with it.
  • Fruit and veggies you can grow with little effort, even if you have little or no experience in the garden.
Planting containers from easily accessible and reused materials

This presentation will cover how to get started and also give you ways to be a little creative for your garden at home, school, kinder or even your workplace.
