Come along and explore a squishy and natural material called cob.
Learn the basics of how to make cob (sand, dirt and straw) with your hands and your feet, and then use these skills to sculpt and build your designs with the support of professional artists.
To start off with, you will explore how humans have used this sustainable material to build throughout history. Then you will make a model of the Giant Gippsland Earthworm and build your own sculptures using the natural material.
Maybe you’ll find yourself making a series of tunnels or even sculpting a slide on top of a dinosaur!
During this workshop children and parent/carers will collaborate and create together.
Please wear comfortable clothes, that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Fabric smocks will be provided. You can also bring an extra set of clothes
Children with texture sensitivities may not like working with cob.
Age: 3 to 5 years, child and adult pairs
Please ensure your child is within this age range.
